The Mind at its Core, The Heart

Hello, Dear Parent Friends of the Web! Here is a touch of my wisdom... to make a difference in the tapestry of life.

Exposures of the Mind

The environment sense organs spring
 as, and when, the projective elements of the environment
 come into contact with the reflective elements of the senses. 

Contact exposures of the mind - through the sense apertures -
 fade away where they spring
 although some penetrate deep into the core of mind, the heart.

The inner mind radiates glows
 in relation to the intensity of penetration or exposure.
 The reactions thus caused are the sensations that develop in the mind;
 we discern the presence of feelings
 when sensations have developed sufficiently.

Mental currents as glow effects of mind
 are essentially sensations that fall under two main categories; 
thus we have feelings of purity 
or feelings of defilement.

Glow effects of the mind,  known to be thirty-nine altogether, 
range from purity to defilement; 
they comprise twenty-five mental currents or glow effects of purity,
 and fourteen currents of defilement.

Mental Currents of Purity
(characterized by their glow effects)

General Good Attributes

  1. Confidence
  2. Mindfulness
  3. Repentance of evil or foolish action
  4. Aversion from evil or foolish action
  5. Benevolence/Loving kindness
  6. Sympathetic Joy
  7. Equanimity
  8. Sublimation of Bodily Action
  9. Sublimation of Mental Action
  10. Lightness of mental properties
  11. Lightness of mind
  12. Softness of mental properties
  13. Softness of mind
  14. Fitness of Mental properties
  15. Fitness of mind
  16. Proficiency of Mental properties
  17. Proficiency of mind
  18. Physical uprightness
  19. Mental uprightness

Mental Factors of Abstinence

  1. Proper speech
  2. Proper Industry
  3. Proper Livelihood

Mental Factors of Transcendent Kindness

  1. Loving kindness to all beings
  2. Compassion (seeing through the eyes of all beings)

Mental Factor of Luminosity

  1. Knowledge (as opposed to ignorance)

Mental Currents of Defilement
(characterized by their glow effects)

  1. Ignorance
  2. Shamelessness and non-repentance of evil or foolish action
  3. Fearlessness of evil or foolish action
  4. Turbulence
  5. Greed
  6. Wrong perception
  7. Conceit
  8. Hatred
  9. Jealousy
  10. Stinginess or miserliness
  11. Repentance
  12. Sickliness of body
  13. Sickliness of mind
  14. Indecision/wavering nature

The Mind, in Its Entirety, is A Collection of Forces.

Our actions and reactions stem from our thought formations that comprise the counteractive qualities of purities and defilements. 

 We, as humans, bear the power of freedom to transform our minds from darkness to luminosity through the cultivation of pure thoughts.

Mindfulness in body, speech, and mind, sets the mind free from all possible inclusions that obscure the spacious nature of the inner mind.

 Let me walk you along the path of peace and grace. Humanity cries out loud for help.

Educational Ideals

Hello, Dear Parent Friends of the Web! Here is a touch of my wisdom... to make a difference in the tapestry of life. 

To Serve the Human Cause

Success in education ought to rest on a matter of principle; it must entail the dissemination of knowledge, phase appropriately, in relation to human developmental psychology.

Furthermore, it must embrace and preserve the unique attributes of emotional harmony, and non-sectarian spirituality - best expressed as morality - in reverence to the developing individuality.

All innovations in education may only shed vision and purpose when grounded upon child-centered learning propped by intelligent adult guidance untarnished by curriculum based impositions.

An overall equilibrium in the development and cultivation of personality may only be upheld when the psychophysical nature of the human being is nurtured mindfully with respect to the following fourfold interdependent and indivisible facets of being - physical, intellectual, emotional, and spiritual.

Educational norms and standards will continue to remain archaic until the vision for the future of learning has been renewed and refreshed with non-compartmentalized, integrated, holistic knowledge - leading from the general to the particulars - as opposed to segmented subject based learning.

All attempts by way of educational reforms will be proven futileunless, and until, the aforementioned pointers have been given due consideration.
